  • JUNIOR WEAPONS ARTISTS

    Multiple Positions Available
    On-Site only

    £24,000 - £28,000 p/a
    - No experience required.
    - UK applicants only.

    We are looking for junior level Weapon artists with a passion for weapons especially modern - sci-fi to work in-house with us at our Edinburgh based studio. You need to be versatile, open to collaboration and driven to create best in industry weapons. You will be working closely with our clients to deliver AAA content for a range of industry leading titles.

    Wardog ARMORY believes in training and mentorship. We’re willing to hire people without any prior experience or even education. We’re interested in people who show potential and are eager to learn.

    Requirements:

    - Strong basical modelling skills including high poly, low poly, UVs & baking.

    - Skill in interpreting loose concepts and contributing to design quality.

    - Excellent knowledge of any of the following: Maya/Max/Blender.

    - Respect technical constraints, production process and submission schedule.

    - Basic abilities in photo-realistic texturing in substance painter.

    - Good attitude, flexible and eager to learn.

  • MID - SENIOR 3D WEAPONS ARTISTS

    On-Site only


    £32,000 - £46,000 p/a
    - Game development experience required
    - Mid level positions are only available for applicants with right to work in the UK.
    - VISA available for seniors.

    We are looking for mid to senior artists with a passion for weapons especially modern - sci-fi to work in-house with us at our Edinburgh based studio.
    A secondary skill in organics/sculpting, simulation, mechanics knowledge or CAD are expected on top of hard surface abilities.
    You need to be versatile, open to collaboration and driven to create best in industry weapons. You will be working closely with our clients to deliver AAA content for a range of industry leading titles.

    Requirements:

    - Exceptional modelling skills and autonomy.

    - Have excellent soft skills (communication and organisation) and are able to support and mentor juniors.

    - Strong understanding of weapon mechanics and function.

    - Skill in interpreting loose concepts and contributing to design quality.

    - Excellent abilities in hard surface modelling in any of the following: Maya/Max/Blender.

    - Respect technical constraints, production process and submission schedule.

    - Excellent abilities in photo-realistic texturing in substance painter.

    - Senior should be able to offer at least one secondary skill beyond hard surface modelling.

  • FREELANCE

    Multiple Positions Available
    Remote only

    Rates based on skill level.
    We rarely work with freelancers so require them to be fully autonomous.


    However we are always looking to expand our team and freelance was a great start for many of our inhouse artists.

    We require specialist hard-surface 3D artists. Weapons, Vehicles, Props artists, get in touch!

    Requirements:

    - Modeling, UV mapping, and texturing 3D assets for a variety of media platforms.

    - Respect technical constraints, production process and submission schedule.

    - Have exceptional communication and organisational skills.

    - Excellent abilities in hard surface modelling in any of the following: Maya/Max/Blender.
